  • 1-2 tablespoons milk Adjust based on desired consistency for icing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and 1 egg until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until combined to form a soft dough, adding more flour if too sticky.

Rolling and Filling

  • Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon over the rolled dough evenly.

Shaping and Baking

  • Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal slices about 1 to 2 inches thick.
  • Place the slices in a greased baking dish with some space between them.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown on top.

Making the Icing

  • While the rolls are baking, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  • Once the rolls are finished baking, drizzle the icing over the warm rolls.
