  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (optional) Can be omitted.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese, and ranch dressing mix. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced green onions, and diced tomatoes if you’re using them. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.

Chilling

  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can meld together.

Serving

  • When you're ready to serve, take the dip out of the refrigerator and let it sit for a few minutes while you set up your serving area.
  • Pair it with tortilla chips or a selection of fresh vegetables.

Notes

For best flavor, serve chilled. Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps. Do not skip chilling the dip; it helps the flavors to blend. Consider variations like adding diced bell peppers or olives.
