  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter or oil.

Cooking

  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  • Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Repeat with the remaining slices, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your choice of toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.

Notes

Use stale or day-old bread for better absorption. Adjust the heat to prevent burning while achieving a golden color.
