  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness) Stevia or agave syrup can be used as alternatives.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. If using frozen banana, take it out of the freezer a few minutes before blending.

Blending

  • In a blender, combine matcha powder, banana, spinach (if using), almond milk, and honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth.

Adjusting Consistency

  • If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more milk and blend again.
  • For a colder smoothie, add ice cubes and blend until you reach your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the smoothie and add more sweetener if desired, or a pinch of matcha for a stronger flavor. Blend again if adjustments are made.

Serving

  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy fresh. Garnish with a sprinkle of matcha or granola, if desired.

Notes

Whisking matcha with a bit of liquid before blending helps to avoid clumps. Use ripe bananas and fresh ingredients for the best taste. For creaminess, consider using frozen bananas or yogurt.
